How to read the research. Where a question has peer-reviewed research behind its
premise, it appears under the question as “Research behind this question.” That means the research supports the idea that this factor matters for endurance or mountain events. It does
not validate the wording of the question, the answer options, or the scoring. Study findings are summarized from the abstracts; the “Relevance” line is our own inference, not the authors’. Many questions have no research listed. That is a gap in what has been checked so far, not proof that nothing exists. The remediation links below each section are practitioner sources, not research.
